The RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT) is an engineering college located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It is presently affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology. It was set up in 1999 by Regional Computer Center, Calcutta, located at Jadavpur University with active support from National Informatics Center (NIC), Government of India and Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal under affiliation of University of Kalyani.
RCCIIT is one of the top colleges in West Bengal, both in terms of placements and academia, with most of its alumni pursuing higher studies in Universities both in India and abroad. An added incentive is the low fees, which are made possible by the Government's funding. Currently, the institute is under the RCC Institute of Technology, an autonomous Society of Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal, with active funding from the Government. This gives the institution the freedom normally associated with a private institution, while being funded by the Government.

This is an autonomous society run by state govt of West Bengal. The college campuses are currently located at Canal South Road, Beliaghata. The old campus is housed at the old Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology, and the new one is a 30 second walk from the old campus. The campus is 10 minutes away from nearest bus stop and is located in the heart of Kolkata.
RCCIIT is one of the few colleges in the state which is dedicated to training Computer Engineers and IT Personnel. This had been the chief aim of the Regional Computer Center over the past three decades. It offers four year undergraduate degrees in the following streams:

FRESHER'S WELCOME
The freshers are welcomed to the institution by their seniors.
TECH FEST
The students of the college organize a technical fest every year which sharpens their technical skills. Software competitions, paper presentations, programming in various languages, technical quiz and debate competitions are held. Technical colleges from all over the state are invited to participate in the competitions. Seminars and exhibitions are also held as a part of this program.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Every year the college holds an annual fest, REGALIA, organized by the students. Students from various colleges compete each other in the fields like drama, choreography, quiz, antakshari, solo and group singing competition and various other fields. Students of the college perform various skits, musical performances and plays. To make it more entertaining outside performers are invited, some major bands and artists rock the students. Apart from the annual fest there are other cultural programs, organized round the year where the students get a chance to show there talent.
SPORTS ACTIVITIES
The students organize intra college table tennis,cricket and football tournaments. Participation in inter college sports tournaments is not encouraged. Currently there is no sports teacher.
MAGAZINE
The college publishes "Wassup"- the annual college magazine, articles are written by students of all streams and departments. There is also the wall magazine "Kal Madhu Mas" updated time to time by students of various streams.
RCCIIT - SLUG
The college has an active Students' Linux User Group (SLUG), where they can discuss about Linux, its uses, applications and problems, and FOSS in general.
